p38 will not turn over

Hi,

I appreciate this has been done to death but help needed.

My battery went flat, charged it up, entered the eka code via the key, dashboard lights up, no messages, but it will not turn over or start.

Starter is ok, did a jump on it to make it turn over but no good.

Forgot to say its a 4.0 95 model

The "check engine" light is not coming on, does this means a resync and lots of cash. Does anyone want to buy a range rover.

If you have no 'check engine' light then yep it sounds like it needs a re-synch.

It only takes a couple of minutes but it needs plugging into a test book, synchmate or similar.

You have to try the resynch at least, otherwise you are looking at selling the car as a "Non runner" from what you are saying. The drop in price will be far more than the cost of getting it going.

BlackBox Synchmate only about £110 plus p&p.
And once you've got one . . . .

Good idea...There are obviously pockets of the UK where access to simple diagnostics are not available locally so every thing that is available is an advantage.
Myself and others on here are always having a "Dig" about people who can't be bothered to put there location on their profile.
This is a classic example of where this is a godsend. Your offer of the loan of the kit that you have been forced to spend money on is to be commended, I hope that the contributions you get in return go towards your outlay.
