Has anyone had any success with the kits on flea bay and the like, I know they don't look as strong as the Rave ones, I just wondered if the adapters would fit? I can make a hydraulic puller up but looks like the adapters would take a lot of time on the lathe. Murray.

Evening, I've got one similar to this kit. I did mine with it.
Just take your time and have some penetration oil and heat to hand. Do both the upper and lower sets and do t adjust the little coller underneath the lower ball joints:D

I used an Ebay kit but had to modify one of the adaptors. The swivels came out surprisingly easily without heat. I left the new swivels in the deep freeze overnight and they went back easily too.

Thanks guys I will give it a go, I have had a look at the videos and found one where he is welding a new ball joint in! I presume he had gone past the three changes or cleaned out the hole too much.
Looking at Rave and the collet for adjustment, how does that work when the top ball is fixed with no adjustment surely it will always pull up to the same place, or I am I just missing the point as usual?

You are missing the point the top ball joint is not fixed it can move in and out.
