Has anyone removed the blind for repair?

My fabric needs replacing but I am not sure how to remove the blind.

Thanks

Mine's the same. Think you've got to remove the sunroof glass panel and it removes from the outside through the hole but not entirely sure how!

You could do a photo guide once you've worked it out!

Guy

My mate removed it not long ago. I'm sure he didn't remove the glass.

However he had taken out the entire roof cloth panel earlier. He may have gotten to it that way

Thanks for your replies

I was hoping not to remove the headlining as I never seem to get them back looking as good.

Just checked RAVE. Sounds a bit of a bugger. I might just try sticking mine back up with something.

It probably sounds worse than it actually is. I don't think I have a sunroof key with mine although I have no idea what it looks like or where it should be.

It's a cow of a job. I swapped mine when I replaced the complete sunroof assy. What about stripping the old fabric off and replacing it with a stiff piece of material ?
Steve

My sunroof material is a real mess as well. I have been advised to change the complete sunroof assembly for one which has a good cover on it. Still a pain of a job to do. Might try material glue first - you can get this from places like Hobbycraft.

Has anyone succesfuly repared/replaced the saggy sunroof blind.......or cut it out and used something else that works and looks good as mine is sagy and horrid:mad:

Cheers,

Al.

I took a Stanley knife to my dangly bits.

Replacement of the material is on the list, but it's quite far down so it'll have to wait! It doesn't look so bad closed, but it does rattle a bit.

I did but I took the whole lining off, have a a look in "How To" I did a photo write up on it

Hi my liner is all messed up as i got told to use the pric stick to glue it back down the fabric is now no good when sliding it back and wanting to open sunroof the build up of the fabric as now rolled back stopping sunroof to open fully can only open on tilt mode

Just seal it shut with some silicon and use the aircon:cool:
