P38 Sat Nav compatability

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I couldn't find anything using the search.

Does anyone know if a YIB500040 sat nav computer will work in a P38 without any problems.

The broken unit I have is a YIB000050 (it also has a rover group sticker YIB000160 under the RR sticker).

yes i am pretty sure it will , did it come out of a rover 75 ? .
if so it will, only thing is it wont show the land rover logo on start up it will just say navigation system , also there will be no off road navigation .
apart from that you should find everything else the same

The YIB500040 is the CD unit out of the L322 RR, but I don't know if this is the MKIII unit or MKIV

My broken unit is YIB000050 (LR sticker) with YIB000160 (Rover Group Sticker) also on the box.

I know the YIB000050 was supeceeded by YIB000110 and according to the Rover forums the YIB000160 was supeceeded by YIB000260, both seem to indicate this was just a part number change rather than a new piece of kit

I know if I install the rover units I will loose the off road sat nav or need to have a software update from the stealers. However I have found references on the rover 75 forums that the YIB000260(rover 75 unit) & YIB500040 (L322 unit) are cross compatible.

Before I went and bought a YIB500040 I thought I would check compatability.
