Some oil within within the turbo pipes is normal. However if you have oil outside pipes they have a slight leak. Remove them and clean out, you may as well remove intercooler and clean that out also. On re-assembly apply a little Hylomar to pipe joints and re-clip. The source of the oil is more than likely the breather pipe from the cam cover. Inside this there is an oil seperator that clogs up over time. Only cure is to remove cam cover and clean out oil seperator. On older engines slight blow by of rings causes crankcase pressure and blows oil out of breather. Whilst cleaning seperator out may be a partial cure on older engines it will not cure the problem totally.

if the turbo is blown you will know the drop in power is huge.

i could hardly get the Red engine knock one of the trailer with it gone.

and if you check out the pics in my album it is well blown, have it in bits at the minute

If it is they are not too bad to remove, strip down and clean up etc

MODESTY, that's a word you don't hear often around here.

Being a mechanic for 49 years you do learn certain things. If i can help anyone on here i will, the advice is free. If people don't want to take advice it's no skin off my nose. Don't know everything, but have more than likely forgotten more than many of todays specialists will ever learn. Have a nice day.:cool::cool:
