Hello,

First and foremost, thank you for all the help ahead of time! Mine of my questions have been answered by reading the numerous posts of other dedicated members on this site!

I have a few questions of my own that I don’t really know the answer to but am hoping some of the more experienced users out here can help chime in.

I have a 2001 Range Rover P38 with a MK3 Satnav (all original). It finally died  and I’m not sure if it was due to old age or from charging the battery while the battery was completely dead and also still connected to the car!:( Either way I have learned my mistake and will never charge the battery again while it is connected to the P38!

So the way I know it is dead is because after I charged the battery I started the vehicle and got the dreaded white screen of death and no sound from the front speakers, and no volume control, etc etc.

I have found a replacement MK3 on eBay but it is labeled with the serial number YIB500040. I have read from other posts that this particular type may be out of a L322. Also I have found the ebay person from Bucharest, Romania and others in GB that can provide the MK3 version with the firmware that works for the L322 but would also work on a P38.

So… My question is will the L322 version YIB500040 work on my P38 MK3 YIB000110?

And will it work just like my old version did before kicking the bucket? That is will the voice navigation work? Off road work (I think this should since it’s from a Land Rover and not a Rover)? Mute button etc etc?

I apologize if the question seems redundant but just by looking at some other previous posts it never sounded clear enough.

Thank you ahead of time!

Cheers!

Simple enough, thanks for the reply.

So I'll continue to look for a 2001 P38 MK3 satnav to work with my P38 2001.

Are the part numbers and corresponding model/year listed anywhere?

Cheers,

Andy
