P38 kickdown? help..worried (again)

Do you have any experience of kickdown? when I kickdown at 50mph all that happened was the revs went to 3000 but nothing else happened? I had to take my foot off abit then it slowly changed gear? do i need to worry, someone said its a sensor thing?. I am pulling my caravan for the first time this weekend from storage, just losing my bottle
Or am i getting paranoid

Torque convertor unlocked but it didn't think a gear change was needed. If you do not have a power box fitted then I think that sounds right for a diesel. Might be worth checking the oil level in the box.

You sure know your stuff, Not sure if I have a power box, but will check it out tomorrow, along with the oil
