Hi there,
just joined have problem with car not starting, new battery has been put on, now car saying key code lockout. Need to enter keycode but not known, short off going to rip off dealer has anybody got any ideas please.

you will have to get the code from the dealer. they dont charge but you may need to prove ownership of the car. if they say they will charge tell them there should be no charge and post back here

Got the keycode free of charge but still unable to get the car going myself, now trying a diagnostic expert if they can get it started, never had this trouble with the disco.

i have the same problem on my ranger rover se 2000 reg and i work for ford so programming up keys is somthing i know i can do, but this well this has taxed me beyond madness, i have followed the book as instructed and nothing the dash lights dot flash, i think there could be a bigger concern
if you have had this problem please could you let my know
as the missus is moaning again

Just a thought have you or has someone in the pass, disconnected the RF aerial on the remote receiver and does this make a difference to the code input (ie: connection distance/fob/receiver) while trying the EKA code, possibly???

To enter the key code you need to make sure all doors and bonnet are shut, all doors must be unlocked.
You may have to do this manually.
Then when you enter the key into the drivers door and do the 4 lock turns to tell the computer you are going to enter you keycode the dorrs will all lock. you can then start the sequence. If the dash is showing keycode lock out you will have to wait for that to clear first. Thiscould take 30mins to 1 hr before it clears, depends on how many times you have miss entered.
I went in circles with mine until I was told by LR that everything must be closed.
