P38 Key replacement

hi all

i lost my key for my p38 diesel in jan looked everywhere for it to no avail so i ordered one from dealers on the 2nd of feb they said 2 me it would take ten working days so i waited nothing came so i rang them they said that they where having a problem with a supplier in germany for a part of the key its been nearly 2 months and my battery has died on the car and i know iam gona have to put the eka in is there any way i can get a key from a breakers and program it to my becm since its been parked my mot has run out and its sitting low as my air suspension has lost all its air

I ordered a replacement key in late jan and like yourself am still waiting.Phoned up the stealers yesterday and they told me that a firm that makes a component for the fob has gone bust and Land Rover are trying their best to sort out the problem,but it obviously isn't top of their list of things to do for this month even though they've had mine and other peoples money for fooking ages.Like yourself extremely ****ed off!

it does take the **** i only got the 1 key when i bought the car so iam fooked until they source these components out

Ordered mine yesterday. Was told production is in progress but there is a two and a half month backlog of orders to clear and could not give a delivery date. Still had to cough up the full amount! Flippin cheek! Now relying on one dodgy key and saying prayers....

Starnge. I bought one from main dealers in Wakefield, it arrived in about 3 days and they even programmed it for me and made sure it was working before I left. Unless there has been a run on them?

What use are your used ones?

i thought used ones were as much use as a ashtray on a bike. have you found a way to reprogram them

We can program & repair them.
We have been for a few years.

It goes to prove that you shouldn't believe everything you read.

We've been supplying Main dealers with temporary keys for there customer until the new one's arrive.

It's getting the used fobs in pairs with the code that's the problem.

I have a fob where the bottons are not working for the open close. Can you repair this and how much do you charge . I have 3 keys. One fully works. One both buttons are nackered and one where the open button is knackered.
Also when I got my new key from the dealers it used to automatically send a signal when I put it in the ignition slot, but now have to press open to start her up. Its a late P38 2000 year. can I reprogram this fuction back in ?

i've lost my key last night, with my jackit!, got my car parked in bad place. been toled i must move it tomorrow.. can i get the steering lock off without damaging it?...had to cut out the small window to get in..

Get it recovered using your local recovery company....
