Depends how authentic you want your motor to look. Obviously they will not be the same as the genuine original optional equipment supplied by LR, but you are probably paying in the region of say £100 for something to compare with £1000 for all wood veneer.
They are acceptable, depending on how much of a purist you are.
It's all down to personal choice I suppose but they would stick out like a sore thumb against the genuine stuff.

They're ****e, most of the bits are oversized and the wrong shape. The bloke i bought my p38 off must have thought that a cup holder that didn.t hold cups and an ash tray that wouldn't close was the in thing. I spent the best part of a day trying to remove all the placcy wood from my interior just so the little extras would actually serve a purpose. It used to look like an ikea bedroom until i got to ripping it all out. Steer clear!! :amen:

Didn't say they looked too fake, in fact the colouration is very good when matched to the original wood finish. Bear in mind that you are sticking something about 3mm thick on top of your plastic trim and therefore close up it is obvious that it is an "Add on". It is easier to keep clean and can be peeled off if you don't like it.
As I said earlier, it's a matter of personal choice based on, I suppose, the depth of your wallet. Bit like people who want to fit later clear lights, Sport grilles, side vents and the such like.

I keep being tempted to buy that off ebay too. Still unsure how obvious it will look though.

I agree with IrishRover.

I have the Eas,Radio,Cabin temp sensor and window switch pack fitted to mine.

Very pleased with the colour match ,finish and fitting, all came from this supplier at different times. Follow his fitting instructions and you won't have any problems with them sticking on.

Yes I too would like the real thing but this is the best option I have seen.

Beware of the Stiff formica type from other suppliers as these look very fake.

I have fitted the full kit to mine you cant tell which bits are gen landrover & which are the stick on ones perfect match well pleased with mine

Has anyone fitted theses carbon fibre dash kits? I am tempted but don't know if it's just the boyracer in me trying to resurface! Looks good in the ads on ebay in the sample pictures.

I only used a couple of small bits either side of the stereo, as the original inserts for use with DIN sized units were silly money for two little pieces of plastic. They don't look too bad hidden under there, but couldn't say whether a whole dash full would look ok.

I put one these walnut kits into my HSE which already had some original wood in it and you would hardly notice the difference. Some of the pieces in the kit i do not think you can get originally from LR anyway. The kits cost around £100-£150 and are worth every penny. I did not find any fitting difficulties and found the pieces fitted very well. I suppose it depends on what company you buy from, i purchased mine from a UK company on ebay (link below), maybe as stated in the messages above, the ones from the US are slightly different. I was wary at first, but i purchased a set of walnut radio blanks (£4.99) from this company to see what the fit and colour was like before i commited to a full kit.

I put a new stereo in and got the blanking plates at the end and covered them up with the 5.99 stick on walnut. Perfect match, and just keeps it neat and tidy.
