P38 in lockout mode. Side warning lights don't illuminate

Hi. My dads RR p38 is in lockout mode. When trying to enter the code side light warning lights don't illuminate and the car stays in lockout mode. Any idea what could be the problem? Door actuator? The same happened about 2 month ago and entering the code worked first time

Thanks actually going to try firtst waiting for 30 min after reconnecting the battery and turning the key 4 times to the left before entering the code

if it says key code lock out on the dash turn the ignition on and walk away from it for 45 minutes, when you come back the message should have gone so you will be able to entre the eka code and away you go.

sorry Dreamdim,miss read your post,thought side light indicator was flashing.mine was and it was a becm problem.Hope its not in your case as it was expensive to fix.Logically the problem sounds like door micro switch,or wireing.Check the wireing as it leaves the door to A post and the connecter behind the side panel as this is susceptable to corrosion.Electrics are not my strong point but this is what I would look at first.
