Help, any ideas as to why the horn on my p38 dse sounds on its own whilst driving???.Fitted new coupler under steering wheel but still does it???

Does the Airbag module sit firmly on the steering wheel or is it a bit loose fitting....if it woobles about it could be hitting the horn switch underneath.

It it is firm and springs back with vigour...I would suspect the Rotary Coupler....

Did you fit it or a Workshop??

Seems strange though that the SRS hasn't flagged up as this uses the RC too...hmmmm unless the SRS tracks are sound and the Horn is iffy....

Now this is a long shot, the tiny relay could still be fubar too....if the spring return on the internal contacts has broken....the contacts are free to move about at will causing spurious activation...but that is a real long shot that one....

Was fitted by a guy that has worked on all types of l/r for years, tested circuit with test book all good.but i will sugest horn relay or maybe just change anyway.

Hmmm...if the rotary coupler is believed to be good....

That only leaves two things the horn switch under the Airbag module or the relay.....

Circuit Diagram attached....
