Would like some advice Re: my Fuse box on a 1998, 2.5 DSE.
Hi All,
I have read many posts on here about the fuse box & relays over heating and condensation from the header tank causing corrosion in the fuse box.
I have had a look in mine and all seems ok, I have pulled the usual suspect heater relays and can't see any signs of burning although I have noticed when the heater fan is under load the relays for the fans do get quiet warm.
I was wondering if all is ok shall I leave the thing alone or is it worth pulling the relays and cleaning them.
I have a can of switch / electrical cleaner NOT WD40 and was wondering is it worth lubricating the terminals where the relays plug in or does this cause problems.
Any advice on this matter would be great.
Thank you all.

There would be no harm in removing and cleaning individual relays/pins, but DO NOT spray anything on the board; it could Very easily short across terminals:eek::eek:

If everything is working as should be, I'd be leaving well alone tho!
