That doesn't sound too bad. Hmmm. Well, lift pump is easy enough to check but I have a feeling you did that a while back?

No never checked it, i was going to check it and replace it when i did the brake pipes but as i could not get a new tank inlet hose and managed the pipes with tank in, it was missed of the list:rolleyes:.

Anyone had this fault on the nanocom on their diesels? Attached photo.

Note this was a fault when it first went wrong before I changed chains and pump etc.

Oh dear. When are you going to start to listen?
When have I not listened then?

If you read my comments this fault came up when I had the old pump in before everything was changed hence why I ask if it has come up twice could it be something else aswell as the QS.

You said QS never disagreed at all. Just putting this up see if anyone has had this before.

Remember I am still learning and appreciating everyone's help so I will make mistakes and ask stupid questions. What is the issue?

If it is the quantity servo then it is and thank you.

Also when Ovalandrover tried his FIP in mine had the same fault message with 3 pumps. Apart from the QS could there be an electrical issue where signal is not being received?

I think it is consistent with it trying to adjust the flow and not being able to. Could it be wiring or something electronic? Anything is possible. How would you track it down? Dunno. Have we ruled out the EMS?

EMS being the ECU? This was ruled out when the ECU was put on another P38 and run ok. MIL lamp comes on when revs drop it's on for a split second. Not stalling just a slight hiccup goes back to normal.

That is a quantuty servo fault. How many times does it need saying. Your fault is an INVALID FAULT. Happens at 51 RPM. Does that not give a clue? It won't stall at road speed but it will start to at crawl on idle or when steering input loads are applied.

I know never disagreed have I?

But if I have had 3 FIP's in the engine with the same fault coming up on each one your saying that the quantity servo has failed in all 3 pumps? One being brand new?

I will get qs done if same fault comes up then there is something else a miss.
