P38 electrical problems

I am having trouble with the electricS on my P38.aLL the dash electrics have gone speedo/fuel gauge/temp/rev counter,also the stereo cuts out evry time the engine is turned of and the code ahd to be entered to use it again.A fuse had blown and changed it 3 times but continued to blow.Yesterday took of the dash/side panels to see if there was a short or loose connection but all is ok.Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Firstly make sure you have eka code and it works

disconnect battery

1)clean all the earth connections with wet and dry paper.
2)clean bcem plugs with electrical contact cleaner(maplins or similar) and a brass brush or cotton bud.
3)check the becem fuse box supply to fusebox is clean and tight
4)check bcem earth clean
5) if after this you still have gremlins-the fusebox under bonnet is known issue and about £80
but speak to irishrover before parting with any money- for a second opinion

tried evrything you have suggested but still nothing any more ideas?

Look thru rave to see exactly how affected items are connected and exactly what is on the fuse causing problems.
Then if your still stuck ask Irish rover and post the exact discription of which fuse is playing up.

Have you examined the fusebox internally for corroded connections( by coolant header tank) and cleaned the plug? These are notorious for lots of electrical gremlins
