That's absolutely right - and whilst 300t jumbo jets are still leaving the tarmac every few minutes at Heathrow, for one I'm not going to be worrying about my V8!
 
It's taken a lot to get me back here, after being told by a person identified only by a nickname (Tony, I think is his real name), that I would have already known what I discovered if I had "bothered to read" a "how to" which he had once contributed. I thought that I hadn't originally posted to be "abused", only to offer help to anyone who might benefit from my experiences and let's face it, who needs to be told off? So, I have spent many hours searching for the elusive posts of which he spoke, to do with "Testbook data, bit counts side to side". I have been unable to find any reference either in Rave or Testbook data regarding my findings but of course I am not inclined to say that therefore no other source of this information pre-dates my "discovery". Funny saga, this one, I found in my searching that others had had similar experiences prior to mine with being "told off" and in fact by comparison, my example doesn't really seem worth a mention, it pales into insignificance. I accept that my shortcomings have prevented my finding "Wammers"' aforementioned "how to" information. I have found plenty of other useful information within this site and will undoubtedly continue to do so in future. I'm sure that it must be tedious seeing questions repeated but surely not responding is preferable to belittling. Oh, that's right, mine was not a question, was it? Perhaps someone may benefit from other findings which I have made one day. Would I dare to post again? Hmm .. John..(my real name)
 
I wouldn't take it as any insult from wammers.. he's very knowledgable on the RR, but sometimes his blunt manner can be misinterpreted especially over the interwebs.

Datatek when he was posting on here, wammers and datatek would would go at it with handbags swinging and we'd all just put the popcorn on. But really they are both bunnies.

The Range Rover has been used and sold in pretty much all corners of the world, some have access to excellent local data, some not so much. And yes it is difficult trying to find data relating to a specific issue on the multitude of forums. Stick around.

I knew very little about the technical side of RR's till i joined here; Nothing has changed :D

Don't be a mardy arse. When test book and setting blocks are used to calibrate the EAS. You are instructed to adjust and set the beat count within two side to side. Simple as that. So your ground breaking discovery is not new to me or to Land rover. You are not being told off you are being given information. If after queuing at the patents office for hours, to find out when you get to the desk someone filed your idea ten years ago upsets you, that is the way the mop flops. Learn to live with it.

All the info he needed is in my EAS "How to" including trouble shooting guides Etc for his particular problem. It's not bloody rocket science to read it and take it on board. That's what it's there for to help people maybe i should delete it and let people struggle. :D:D:D

John,don't take anything to heart,by what is said on here,just carry on posting your finds,some people are blunt in their replies,others are not,such is life.

Yeah and if someone tells you that your eureka moment is nothing new don't get upset. Don't forget a lot of people called Ugg will have invented a wheel only to find that the next village has had them for years. :D:D:D
