p38 deadlocks

Can anyone out there offer any help, 1999 4.6L . Locks on remote fob but by double clicking does not deadlock. I have sat in vehicle and tried to deadlock , alarm light flashes but movement sensor does not set off siren, in fact nothing sets off siren modalities displayed.- ready to burn it

You are better off if it doesn't deadlock (Superlock), if anything goes wrong it can be a nightmare to gain entry to the car. If you are serious, you need diagnostics.

Yes, Listen to Datatek.

If superlock isn't working, that's great. We wish we could stop it working on all P38's.

Someone may already have cut the wire that superlocks it. Failing that the little motor in the lock actuator might have burnt out. Finally it might be one of the little microswitches in the bottom of the lock actuator.

As most have already said: leave it! Disabled superlock is doing you a favour!

Mine's never worked either and I've never worried about it, but as the OP mentions the alarm doesn't seem to activate in this situation either.

Feck dont complain if the alarm dont work! it causes nowt but problems usually

Yeah, the missus superlocked ours and then the alarm activated itself and immoblised it. I had to rescue her using Nanocom and the only way I could get it to start was to disable the alarm.
