p38 dashboard

hi,

i have just started using this forum so as you can guess i'm a bit of a virgin to it so please bare with me.
Anyway, my problem is that the dashboard seems to come on every now and again, has anyone had this problem or now anything about the possible cause...
basically the whole of the dash board is intermittent, ie; nothing at all rev counter, speedo etc. the car is a 1996 2.5dt rr

I think its coz cars are "female".

:welcome2: you'll need to be abit more specific around here or your leaving yourself wide open to a riping!!!! what model, year, what do you mean the dash comes on? what comes on?

The dash pod is powered by one large multi plug. Its probably just a poor/loose connection. May even be as simple as disconnecting then reconnecting the plug. Its easy to access. Download a copy of rave (do a search on here for a link) Steve

tried dowloading rave ( christ the fun i had with that ) after all that, its started working fine, turned out to be the batteries in the fob ( that started playing up) but with no dash, i was unsure, as the batteries were only 1 month old, ( must have been cheap and nasty).
P38 RUNNING IN ITS FULL GLORY NOW THANK GOD!!!!
