does any body know where it might be possible to get a replacement 70mm double female brc backffire shutter protection unit from as all the ones ive seen on ebay are all male and female? i only realy need the rubber ring as i keep straightining the valve when she backfires but the rubber ring as perrished

I would sort the back firing issue out before you go fitting new parts, as you seem to be having that issue frequently from what I can gather from your post....

An LPG system shouldn't backfire if it is setup correctly, the ignition components are in top order (LPG system hate cheap and old plugs, leads and coils).

Get the reason it backfires sorted first...look at the ignition components and also the gas mixture. If you are running the LPG tank to close to empty, sometimes it doesn't have enough pressure to provide a decent and continuous stream of gas and can backfire....
 
Ive been looking for that part as well, still no joy, however i repaired mine as it was almost split in two with a bikes puncher repair kit!!
 
Backfiring on LPG is usually caused by an air leak somewhere on the inlet manifold or even a sticky or frozen valve in the converter.
