Hi Guys,
Any Ideas what the problem is with my alarm?

I locked the car outside my house and never thought about it again, but last night, well 4am this morning I woke up to flashing indicators and interior light on

I disarmed and armed the alarm and for about 1 min all seemed ok but then it happened again, I sat incar and done it again and once again it triggered, message board on dash reads 'Alarm Triggered'

I even disconnected to pir sensors in roof but it still triggered (flashing indicators and interior light on)
In the end I had to disconnect the battery :(:(:(

Whats going on, I have no idea at all :confused::confused:

Oh just incase it matters, it was raining last night, but not when this started to go crazy!

Really................:doh::doh:

Never gave that a thought.
I knew you can get 'traction failure' when its flat but not alarm faults.

But it was 4 in the morning, my brain was not even awake :eek:

No Not started it going out to connect battery and see what happens

Will check the RF wire as well, you think it may be picking up a signal from somewhere?

Ok Just swapped the battery with a spare one I had fully charged (13.97v) and it's still doing the same, indicators flashing and int lights come on.

Even with car unlocked the interior lights come on and stay on

The only new car to the close is mine, bought it last week, but it been fine until early this morning.

Any help please

take the blue wire off your rf box, that should help it. have you started it yet, look around see if anybody has put up ariles around you thats what did mine. if all else fails take your bulbe out of the inside..

Sounds like RF picking up spurious signals; if blue wire still attached unplug it and try that, otherwise is £160 for new shielded unit as I had to do!

Thanks guys will do that next and let you know.

But noticed something else when I started it took it for a run.

Error message..... door open LH-R,
just took door card off and found two wires snapped completeley.
so soldered them back, but still have the problem with alarm flashing the lights, going to do rf blue wire now, be back to let you know soon
cheers guys

Hi lads, Not done anything with RF wire yet, Took the car down the road to a remote part and still have the same problems, I presume if it was the rf wire and box it would have been okay away from all masts etc, but still the same :mad:

But the car was bleeping about the door being open and the int light was going on and off...... thought I was in a disco (not the car!!)

I think I will have to get the lock mechanism changed and then go from there.

Now there my next question........... How does the mechanism come out, does the outside door handle have to come off???:eek:

Sorry lads, I'm new to these problems, my last one never gave me any hassle at all.

Wouldn't the interior lights coming on indicate that there could be a problem in the lock mechanism?
Could it be that the interior lights being switched on could then trigger the alarm?

I'm posing these as questions because I'm not that certain of my facts but just thinking logically.

after looking around today and now more messages on dash I think you are spot on there dogsbody.
Am going to get a relpacement door lock for N/s rear so hope that might cure the fault

try overlanders in bootle, i allways find him to be good at getting parts at the right price..

Going to call him in the morning, just hope my wallet holds out ;)

The one in Speke is good to look around but just expensive

If they are too much I might try Emmotts in Colne, he will give a months warranty on used parts as well

Just for curiosity J, what part of Liverpool are you?
