I have an interesting issue with my aircon on a 1998 4.6HSE
had a new zircon rad fitted earlier in the summer and evrything seemed rosey.
over the last few weeks I have been experiencing an odd phenomenon - when starting from cold the air con works fine, and I am very quickly freezing ! THe cold air stays fine as long as I keep driving. Be it for an hour or three.
Once the engine has been stopped the zircon does not give any cool air at all just ambient hot air.
The situation stays the same as long as the engine is hot, but if I park up, open the bonnet and let things cool for 15 to 20 minutes and then restart everything seems to return to normal.
any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
