Hi all great website , been a member before on here but forgot username..
Anyway ive had a 1995 p38 4.0 se for last five years not had uch probelms since had..

Well here goes my first post as a member , some time s car been stood for a cpl of months on end, but has always started off a jump start or a booster pack , well got a new battery no signs or messages on dash board..

All electrics working but car will not turn over what so ever, first i thought it was STARTER Motor but managed to get that turned over with (crossing screw driver over leads ), so not that , took leads of spark plugs and tried turning over no spark...
it seem at first it was starter motor? but ive ruled that out

ive read previous posts , and im going more the way thast it may of lost its BECM code, ? or something electrical???
Ive been checking the wiring loomss for cracks in wire to off no proveal( ignore me spelling)

I cant understand what it may be, WElectrical , please can any one shed any lightt ive been reading abvout them faultfinder things but not sure??

Anyway there is some grt tech guys on here well what i read , and im sure someone might be able to point me in the right direction??

Welcome back !!!
Are you getting any fault messages on the display??
More importantly, is the "Check Engine" light illuminated when you turn the ignition on, if not, the engine ECU and Becm has lost it's "Handshake" and will not start.
You could try entering the EKA code or trying to get it resynched with diagnostics.
If that fails, there's a good chance that the Becm has gone into Lockout mode....this can be sorted by a few people on here, including myself.
Finally, it would help if you put your location in your profile as a member local to you may be able to help.

Thanks Irish Rover, i will check that in the morning ..

Im in Denton which is in Manchester, so if u know anyone close by please recommend...
Never had this problem b4 sometimes car has been left for 3 months at end, and has never done this before,,, What cause s this to happen???

And is it common fault , worth me by a diagnostic for it , or u know where i can get one from??

Thanks for putting your location.
There is a strong contingent of members who are well versed with P38 problems up in the North West around the Liverpool, Manchester & Preston area.
I am sure that they will pick up on this post very quickly and reply/get in touch.
The P38's are unpredictable and just because nothing like this has happened in the past by no means can be taken for certain that it will never happen in the future.
I have had to reset many Becm's which have locked out for the most simple reasons, mostly battery related where previously they have functioned without problems for years....it's just a P38 thing !!!
Keep us updated

a code reader will give you the codes off your car, pitty you is a bit far from me. i would have read your codes, i use a sealy code reader..
