Yes it has, I have taken it apart and cleaned the connectors with electrical contact cleaner and put it together a few times to make sure the contacts are clean, will be checking the OBD port connectors tomorrow, as my other P38 (v8Petrol Auto) Air bags checks out with the nanocom on that, so cant be the diagnostic machine.

I have also cleaned all the connectors I can find on the drivers side, all the way back to the ECU, even changed the ECU

Been away for a well earned rest this weekend, back to it in morning

i have tried everything i can think of, even updated nanocom to latest version, still getting unable to communicate with ECU, I checked connectivity of the OBD cleaned and still no luck, i did hear somewhere that there is a white connection somewhere in the cab that can cause problems to the OBD, any one any idea where it is

I need a GIN, but its to early (;

Behind the kick panel at the bottom of the A posts, there are two connectors each side.

Hi all, now as suggested I have at last got round to removing both side kick panels, and low and behold the large white plugs on both sides are green/blue with corrosion

What do people suggest I clean it with, tried electrical contact cleaner did not shift it

On closer inspection the large plug on the N/S Kerb side (uk) one of the terminals has broken off, this should be there as there is a red/ grey wire on the plug and socket and I can see a stump

Can anyone point me to the wiring diagram for these plugs please

I can hard wire it or maybe them all both sides

But will try cleaning with what ever is suggested first

Thanks

MaDbRiT

Cut out the connectors and solder the cables together and heat shrink, the connectors are only there for assembly at the factory
there is a handy tool for this job

YAAAAAA SUCSESS
I bypassed the two plugs on the left by direct wiring, replaced the OBD plug (just in case) and the SRS light now goes out after 10 seconds

Thanks to all who helped in this. much appreciated

And thanks to brianp38dse for suggesting the soldering aid pliers, made life a lot easier with all that loom to wire

Now to replace the Right Front ABS Sensor and its MOT time

Nice one. Best of luck with MOT

Last update on this, passed MOT with flying colours, just one advisory on a suspension air bag needs replacing soon, I can put up with that after all the work

Thanks to all that helped me out

A Very Happy MaDbrIt

Great feeling ain't it:D:D Mine went through last week

It does indeed. But now I have a matrix leaking into drivers footwell. Only replaced the seals a month ago. More cleaning abs new seals needed. But only a minor problem. Have re routed water for now :). Other P38 V8 LPG having head gaskets done AGAIN. But I have a nasty feeling it’s the liners slipping :(
