Sport P0056 Error code

Hi Guys

Need some help and advise.
My Sport Supercharged recently come up with an error code P0056. I have spoken with a mechanic and he said it might not be the O2 sensor it could be something else. I would like to know if this is common? What else can cause this problem? And if i continue to drive with this error code will it cause any further damage to the engine etc?

P0056 usually bank2 post cat sensor.

If you swap over bank 1/2 sensors and the error then says bank 1 post cat sensor you’ve found your gremlin

Thank you for the video. Looks complicated lol. Will this is do any further damage to the Range if not looked at soon? Or fixed?

The heater side of the lambda can be tested for resistance.
The emissions detection side needs to be looked at with diagnostics.
It watches the cats performance and should rise and fall as the cat traps and releases oxygen.
If the lambda sensor gives a flat line on the graph then adding a external fuel supply will change its reaction. If it doesn't react, the sensor is dead. If it does react it works.
A dead cat will not store oxygen and will give a flat line on the graph hence the external fuel supply to varify the lambda.

What does your mechanic say?
They can test as above easy enough to rule out sensor but have seen the vehicle and seem to think it’s something else

The logic is if you move the sensor only and the code follows it then it can be safely assumed that sensor is the problem before spending out on maybes. If it stays on bank2 it’s something else causing it.

Thats is if the sensor comes out with dying in the process of changing them side to side...
