I have recently bought myself a p38 which drove perfectly with the 16" alloys. I have now changed them to 19" range rover sport alloys and when i was driving and hit 40mph i started to get a very bad vibration on the steering wheel and front end to the point it felt like it was bouncing. I took it to the garage to get the wheels balanced, after which i took it for a drive and there was no wobble at first until i hit 50mph, it seemed the longer i drove the car and it warmed up the wobble started at 30mph. A friend mentioned wheel spacers but i dont about these. Can anyone give me some help and advice please.

Thanks everyone, i havent tried to drive threw the vibration as its to bad. No haven't got wheel spacers on do you think this would resolve the problem. Thanks for the link to hawkrings on ebay i think i will give these a try. any more info will be appreciacted. :)

Yup, as Steve has suggested, spiggot rings is exactly what you need - the later wheels won't locate properly on the hubs without them.

I'd get yourself a set pronto.

Also P38s aren't very happy with large diameter wheels. Personally I wouldn't go above 18 inch. Tramlining, wandering and hard ride are just some of the likely symptoms.
