Hi,
Just took a look at the thread posted recently by LAW632 regarding his poor fuel economy in the DSE.
Whilst still suffering my power loss situation (see power loss threads) at the moment before my booking with the dreaded main dealer to investigate - I thought I would mention that I am getting around 15/16 mpg in my high revving - going nowhere fast 2000 DHSE and I switched it to sports mode to see what happened - could'nt be any worse, could it? It increased slightly to 17ish mpg. Does this throw any light on things? or point towards the 4th injector?

Hi, interested to hear you say your vehicle is high revving, is it an automatic? My P38 is auto and when I bought it was high revving too, I replaced the gearbox filter and discovered the rubber o-ring was missing fromn the one I took out. When I refilled the gearbox and tried it afterwards the engine revved far less and economy improved.

Have you looked at the throttle control valve?? my 4.0 se pet did the same mind you she does have a mind of her own but when i had it tested it was showing low voltage .

There a tube that goes on the under side of the fuel filter housing housing hard to sea but its there) if this comes of which it can easily do when messing around near filter. then you loose power and speed ( upto 40 percent down)
email me if you are stuck and i will email you photos of problem)
