overfill uj's?

my new grease gun turned up in the post yesterday so thought id tread the old girl to some fresh grease in the ujs. while pumpin it in i noticed the seal popped and a brown sludge was being forced out. after seeing this i just kept pumpin untill it was just fresh grease oooozing out.

does anyone think this was a bad choice for any reason?

do it regular and the ujs will last a lot longer
