Freelander 1 Over Fueling

My trusty TD4 has been garaged for last 6 months while I have been away. put the battery back on it this morning Started first time , Great . Driving down the A21 put my boot into it to pass someone Huge Huge cloud of black smoke of course then I start to watch overfueling black smoke under hard exceleration, So if its not a split turbo pipe (its not whistling) what do I look for .

All suggestions or diagnosis gladly excepted.

Stuck EGR valve possibly or a split boost pipe.

EGR was blanked over 2 years ago, if it was a split boost/ turbo pipe would i not hear turbo whistling ?
As i am going to be helping thought I would ask the question

Not necessarily.

Fuel filter could have failed by not restricting flow. Jets damaged by forced push into a small hole.
