Greetings One and all

ISTR someone (Badger?) mentioned/recommended a courier service in here a
while back - searching the archive has been a disappointing & fruitless
task.

I just bought a gearbox and don't fancy the trip, so I need a courier that
will collect from up-norf-land & deliver down here. Next-day is not an
issue.

Thanks for reading.

Hi William. In the past I've used Palletline and a local firm, Ross Parcel
Express. I recently got a bloody big caravan awning collected from
middle-englandshire and delivered to far-north by Ross Parcels for £35, it
came in 3 packages, all pretty big! When you say up-north-land, where do you
mean exactly? If up my way, I'll pass on details for Ross Parcels if you
want. You could always try contacting one of your local small(ish) courier
firms, you might be surprised.
Badger.

Only going off personal experience - (Hereford Area)

Citylink (****tylink) is by far the worst

Parcel Force seems to be great

Parcel Force won't carry a gearbox if they know what it is beforehand.
Health and safety issues with a) weight (max 30kg) b) physical
size/balance of package and c) oils (even if drained).

Liverpool - about half way between your bit and my bit I guess :)

Thanks - looking at the Palletline site - I'd guess they are franchise
operations made up of those self same local couriers.
