OT: Cheap hire car

Hi,

I travel to UK every year from Zim, and I've had good deals from the
following (typically about 2/3rd the price of dealing direct with the car
hire companies).

http://www.carhire4less.co.uk/
http://www.holidayautos.co.uk

They don't seem too worried about where you come from, as long as you have a
valid driving license, and some ID and proof of residence - check web page
when booking (though I've not been asked for the ID the last two times).
Typically, if you are prepared to go for a small car, you can get it for
about 16 pounds per day, less on a longer trip.

Having said this, I've just asked for a quote on these two web sites and
the cheapest rate (Ford Ka) is 765 quid!!! Probably cheaper to buy a car
while you are in the UK and then sell it at the end! You can get secondhand
cars quite cheaply.

Good Luck

Offer stands, although I'm now /seriously/ thinking about selling the
Series 3 as driving the 101GS is too much fun and I kind of know that
the S3 will not get the use it deserves (I've made lacklustre attempts
to sell it for a few years, but not really followed up any enquiries,
as I wasn't that bothered about selling him in reality, course, I
should have finished the GS earlier...)

So, if it's gone by then, and you still need wheels, you'll have to
settle for the GS (no heater at present, but you're sat on top of the
engine so you'll not miss one). It'll be cheaper for you to run
around in too when I get the LPG sorted. (It's insured for any driver
over 25 - and taxed). You'll just have to work out how many miles you
may do as (at present) it's on a restricted milage policy, and this is
unlikely to change until May 07.
