Disco 2 Os core plug replacement

Noticed after last nights shift my heaters blowing cold where on the 16mile journey home theyre normally warm.pulled over when temperature gauge had crept over the normal range of halfway and sure enough pipes hard cap hissing really quietly.let it cool for 15-20 mins then drove less than a mile home steady.just been out to it and refilled coolant and immediately heard it coming straight back out onto drive.so i can see the drivers side core plug in the block is leaking.This looks a nightmare to get to,is it possible with engine still in?

Engine type? TD5 or V8 ??
