Hi. Just wondering what the original wheel size will have been on my W reg, 2000, 4.6 Vogue please? Many thanks.
pretty sure its the same options on all p38
8J x 16 - 255/65R16
8J x 18 - 255/55R18
bigger tyre leversGlad you changed that, getting a tyre on the 18" may have been difficult.
And deeper pockets too, no doubt!bigger tyre levers
mine had 19" on when i got it, a noticeably firmer ride, I've got 16" on nowThanks for the prompt response Kermit! Runs on 19' currently and I'm going to revert to original wheel size and some chunky tyres for a bit of proper off-road fun!
Cheers.
Mike.
In the past, I averaged 80k+ miles annually, now doing about 12k. So, instead of selling my A8, I'm keeping that AND swapping P38 current 19" for 16's wearing Insa Turbos., 265x75x16.mine had 19" on when i got it, a noticeably firmer ride, I've got 16" on now
that size will give you an extra 4mph at an indicated 50mphIn the past, I averaged 80k+ miles annually, now doing about 12k. So, instead of selling my A8, I'm keeping that AND swapping P38 current 19" for 16's wearing Insa Turbos., 265x75x16.

Thanks Kermit...very useful to know!that size will give you an extra 4mph at an indicated 50mph
19"s look a lot better on the car than 16"s. Have 19"s on P38 and 20"s on L322. P38 is better balanced on 19"s. Providing all steering is up to scratch they give a lovely drive. But taking speed bumps at any speed is a bit harsh. Speed bumps should be banned.
Thanks Tony. I'll have to be especially careful when NOT off road. Mostly just driving 1.5 miles to and from to the Barge these days, but that's vital information.Yep speedo will be illegal.
L322 wheels on the P38 i take it?
According to local Land Rover dealer, they're off a 2006 car.L322 wheels on the P38 i take it?
mine was on L322 wheels, still got them!! :OL322 wheels on the P38 i take it?

I was booked at 34mph in 30 zone, but got on a Speed Awareness Course instead of points thankfully. I'm now mindful to engage speed limiter whenever possible, but that's currently out of service on P38. Memo to self: GET IT FIXED!!!Well technically it won't be illegal, only on cars 2001 and on was the no indicated speed below actual brought in. So at 50 MPH you should be allowed 50 plus 10% . So 55 at indicated 50. But jobs worths with speed guns don't know that and will do you for 1 MPH over the limit. Bloody idiots.
