ORIGINAL LandRover Radio

Hi Guys,

A friend here has a Disco TD5 on a 03 plate with a non-standard radio.
The controls on the steering wheel don't work it.

1. Does the steering wheel control only work with the original LandRover radio?

2. Does anyone have and want to sell an original radio in working condition ?

The steering switches will work on an after market radio if the radio itself is compatible some are some aren't some times its just a small wiring loom thats needed to connect the 2 together i was quoted £80 for the loom.I had the same problem but the radio I had in mine originally was out of a defender and was not compatible at all so that would have been £80 quid down the pan its now got a single disk CD out of a disco which is fine the other option I had was an after market 1 but I cant remember the make sorry

Need to know the model of the aftermarket unit and brand etc,

And if the car has the harman Kardon upgrade too

Both bits you can get from DVB Car Audio, as you need the main stalk controller, then a second bit which converts the stalk controller to the brand of headunit being used,
