Hi,

im just about to order some parts to rebuild my axles but i note different part numbers for the stub axles on the rear axle.

Part number DA3358 (lrparts.net) is for axle 22S8283 and the other is DA3359 for 22S824................... and predictably I can find any identifying numbers on my axle.

Does anyone know what the differences are?

I can not find a number on my rear either.

However, as far as I'm aware, all 110 Salisbury rears had the same diff and casing, but it's just the shafts and "other bits" that change.

Didn't some 200s still have drums, but later ones had discs?

The stub is certainly different for drums and discs.

Id compart the part numbers that you have with other models (eg the 300 which had discs, and earlier which had drums) and see if there's not a direct correlation that would clearly pinpoint what you need.

A landrover part number is easier if you're using the diagrams on the jaguar landrover site.

Thanks for that. I should have been clearer but i think my brain was fried after searching through all the choices available.

So, my axle is a 10 spline drum braked affair.

The two parts numbers ive been given from LRParts are both for drum braked rear axles up to a KA chassis number... which includes my 90, so both of those part numbers are for a 10 spline drum braked axle.

Will have a look at the JLR site. Thanks for pointing that out to me.
