open door light on, and interior lights stay on !

hi all

my wife has a freelander 03 td4 , i have repaired it as it had rolled on its side , since i have swopped the back door the light is on the dash and horn beeps when locking to warn of a door open !

how does the door know its shut ?
does anyone know the colour of the wire in the door loom that controls the door closed light ?
