I can't think why it would be a speed sensor. More likely something to do with a feature that is selected when you reverse like reversing lights/camera, parking sensors etc

along with what’s been suggested , the rear parking sensors are renowned for failing
have u tried a battery hard reset along with ensuring the battery is fully charged
plus is it an auto or manual and did it all of a sudden happen plse , thks
if U don’t get any success next port of call would be getting it plugged into disgnostcis, otherwise ur simply be chasing ur tail
