Not really my bag, but thought I'd post this link for those P38ers out there who are after something a bit different.

Caraholics : Overfinch 630R, 6.3 chevy V8, with exclusivity

Seems strange not to take a pic of the engine bay given it has a 6.2L V8 in it! I'm guessing they must change the gearbox etc on these to take the extra power too? Might actually make it something vaguely resembling a reliable car!

Anyone ever had/driven one of these?

Anybody who would spend that amount of money in 2000 on a 1995 Rangie needs his bumps feeling. It is a prime example of what has happened since the government shut all the lunatic asylums and started the care in the community scheme.:D:D:D

I would want a bit more bling for the money and the conversion.

If i was spending that kind of money in 2000 having the conversion carried out I would want people to know its a monster. Not just another P38.

Wolf in Sheeps clothing ????
Looks pretty basic inside, maybe it was an economy job by Overfinch ?

Wonder if it could be converted to Diesel or LPG and do 40mpg ????

I quite like the understated looks, although I imagine the badging on the boot and the noise from the engine would give the game away for anyone remotely interested in cars!

This bit makes me laugh though:

This is a truly unique and remarkable vehicle, one of only 25 630R anniversary overfinch models...

:)

That actually totally floats my boat, I love the understated looks. I doubt it originally came on standard wheels though.

The trim level is a little odd alright, no James (not necessarily a bad thing) and no HK stereo (as far as I can make out) but with memory seats and serious custom cabin leather.

I think there were uprated mechanicals knocking about back then too, I remember reading about the LR approved supercharged P38's that had a strengthened drive line with upgraded materials.

Bit stupid not to have a pic of its most important feature though. I'd love to see how much room is left around the engine bay.

Hi all

That looks very much like the one that was on flebay about 6 weeks ago went for about 9k was watching to see how well it went for as was for sale at a garage for 16k for many months.

So def my cup of tea would love to have it for my weekend toy, does any one want a 97DSE auto ?

Tony:)

love it! very understated, love the fire extinguisher in the floor in the back seat, speaks volumes the confidence that it needs to be in arms length if something was to go wrong...!

I really like these customized models, especially as there are none to be found around here.

Does anyone know how they managed to get the BECM to talk to this engine's ECU? Did Overfinch work directly with LR at the time or did they just do aftermarket conversions ?
