Got in my d2 td5 tonight when it started it was reving at about 1,000 rpm with a miss like it was a petrol engine cleared after 30 seconds and drives ok it normally runs a bit lumpy on start up when its realy cold but a dab of the pedal soon sorts it

its had new airflow meter de egrd no cat ss centre pipe new injector loom no oil in ecu

U can do that just by touch...shake it's plug a bit and see if it's any play there...it must be quite compact coz it's integral with the pedal assembly
U have to remove the padal to totally see it.

Ive had a wiggle i will see how it goes tommorow ive had a feeling for a while the censor was naff as it drives differently when it chooses i think its been mapped as when it feels like it is quick as in better than v8.It seems when i stab the throttle it goes like **** but if i drive sencibly like gently on the gas it aint too special if i change the censor will i have to plug it into nanocom?i can tune a v8 with webber by ear and get it running sweet but all this censor stuff has me fazed

U just have to replace it no need for tester ...on this one;)

I keep putting images maybe everyone will see how usefull RAVE it is:D

Thanks for that my pc is like me old im going to get rave put on disk at work any idea were i can buy censor and peddle at reasonable price

I'd say investigate better first to make sure b4 u spend money....it was just a possible cause...might be other fault....wont hurt to plug it in a tester first. The TP sensor is not a cheap part and be aware there are two kinds > up to VIN 297136 and after.

I would suggest there is nothing wrong with your car.

Although its a 5 cylinder, it only has 4 glow plugs, so that cylinder needs to "warm up" first to run right, thats why when its very cold its a little lumpy but clears with a bit of throttle.

Perfectly normal TD5 behaviour imo.
