Hi

Have just fitted an Old Man Emu steering damper to replace the knackered, stock, damper on my discovery 2 and when fitting it looked and felt like the top and bottom bushes/fittings were slightly slimmer than the damper that came off.

I've tightened it up to the suggested 125NM and there doesn't feel to be any play all.

Just wondering if anyone else had experienced the same? Should I be concerned /bothered?!
Cheers

I wouldn't be concerned. The bracket probably bent a little to take up the slack when you tightened the fixings.
I fitted an OME damper on my Ninety years ago, not had any problems with it at all.

Thanks. Have just taken it out for a quick drive and it feels fine, much nicer than the old damper!
