I take my hat off to Frank, it's men like him that made this country's engineering prowess what it was, WAS being the operative word. Puts plonking a 200tdi into a petrol LR into perspective
What's next I wonder, a pedal powered version?
If forum member knows this guy please extend my admiration for his technical ability & tenacity. I'm a pensioner myself but even get the garage to change the oil these days.

Had a similar thing in a local creek last summer where a retired engineer had fitted a home-made steam engine into his 18 foot dinghy, hand-made bits all over the place
but had made a pukka job of it. Inspiring..
