OLD Landy Thefts

Just posted on the stolen forum but it seems that Defenders have had their day Derbyshire police now say OLD landys are being nicked in the county. Suggest series drivers up their security with steering lock and hidden cut off switch to confuse the bastards.

Derby police have said old Land Rovers but they mean anything really, All defenders, Series, Disco 1's, Rangie Classics (i.e Anything thing that is off roaded and kept by Enthusiasts... Anything with a market for spare parts!)

You'd think all the levers would put them off, it works for my wife!

They won't get far without a rotor arm in the dizzy! And there's so many different ways of putting it in neutral by the time they've worked out the right combination I'd have finished the shopping and be back at the truck,

where there's a will there's a way though and if the sods want it they'll have it I know, thankfully theres not loooooaads of 86" series ones around, and even fewer from the first batch, so if they ever did persuade old elsie to trundle off with them she shouldn't be too hard to find again! I hope I never have to though!!

taking the rotor arm out works well when the tea leafs turn up with a trailer/winch or a hi ab
