I've installed Smith's gauges on my defender and am having a few problems!!
The oil temperature registers about 90°C for the first 15-20 km/h and then goes up and up and up...until, if I'm doing 110/120 kms, it completely goes off the scale!
The pressure gauge registers low pressure at the start and then falls to below zero..
The engine is running perfectly and is not overheating.
I'm positive that the fault lies with the gauges, or the installation.
I'd love to hear from somebody who has installed these gauges on a defender td5.
