oil leaking hub

Hi folks, another daft question from a new series 3 owner.... had leak from front offside hub and thought it came from the grub screw on the front of the hub. Have had closer look today and when I took the hub cap off found quite a bit of oil in it. It looked like it was coming through the thread behind the crown nut. Then checked others and found that they had grease on them. My question is could the leak be from grease around the crown nut getting hot? The front nearside also had some oil in it, but the hub cap seemed tighter, so no leak.... Thanks as always for any help

you can renew fibre washer behind nut washer ,and if later hub o ring that seals cap

Thanks, would you say put grease on after? I take it I can get the fibre washer from normal suppliers? Its a 1977 swb.....
