well i fixed that leak and now its leaking from the input seal and also oil from the front of the motor someware havent had the chance to look at it good yet. i never had somany oil leaks with anything before i mean is it that hard to put good rubber seals on stuff i mean they cost $70,000 i think they should last more than 81k

well thats great but when your on a 8 hour trip the smell tends to get to you so i gess ill have to just order more parts and eventualy ill have the only rover that dont leak.

There is not supposed to be any oil in the hub at all. the halfshaft oil seal has given up. Oil is being thrown out by ABS sensor gear teeth. Change oil seal, cheap to buy and half an hour or so to replace.

The smell of oil is the built in level indicator..when you can't smell it...it's empty!!!
Land Rovers are like painting the Forth Bridge in Scotland..or the Golden Gate for you Yanks.
By the time you have sorted the problem, it's back to the start again!!
Seriously, despite the hassle of changing what is a cheap item, when sorted..you get a good break before the next one..I haven't changed a seal for over three years now but have a stock of all the common seals just as a precaution.
