Hi all, yesterday my landrover ran terrible. Stalling at idle and losing oil pressure for a short while after which it regained itsself. Checked the oil, DRY. Completely dry. While it was always full. So something is amiss.

When I checked under the bonnet and filled it up with a litre i had, i noticed leaks around these bolts.

later, i also found oil coming from just under that large nut of the injector.

Could anyone point me in the right direction to as what might have happened here? Especially the excessive oil loss is a bit weird to me.

Thanks!

When you say "dry" do you mean nothing showing on the stick? Strange place to see oil coming out. What is the horizontal bolt holding? Stuff leaking from injector would be diesel.

Top one looks like an earth strap, lower one to the right looks like a tappet retainer bolt, Iirc these are lock wired in? they may have a copper washer underneath, so might just need nipping up.

Dry as in, yea; only residual oil from the sides of the dipstick tube. I feel like i am burning some oil too. Been driving lots of highway.

Cables are an earth strap indeed, the other i would have no clue. Just a filler hole of some sorts it seems

Not a filler hole, as @lynall says tappet retainer bolt that should be locked in place.
Even a small oil leak will reduce your oil level over not that much time. Is it leaking at the dipstick tube as well?
If burning oil you will have blue smoke from exhaust, more so when cold.
