hi guys recently bought my disco and in a previous post explained i had a oil leak i needed to locate anyway turns out its coming from the sump .Now i'm no mechanic but with a bit of help from you guys im willing to give it a go im under the impression that there is no gasket on the 300tdi sump so what do i seal it with? cheers.

Land Rover use Hylomar 2000 sealant STC611.

Any motor factor or auto spare part shop will sell Hylomar even Halfords although they may have their name on it or a different brand name but still a sealent for sumps. Could be black or white not the blue stuff thats for other gaskets.

I had a bit of an oil leak since i starting using 5w40 oil but then I found all the sump nuts and bolts could be tightened up an extra half a turn, still a bit damp but no drips.
Worth a look at may be.

yu want Loctite 5922 or 5926 - available from all good Halfrauds :bolt: .
