Planning fluids change in the morning while checking today the oil filter was loose easy to undo so how tight does it need to go back on.

peeps say hand tight but i would use two hands and tighten it as much as you can with both hands but make sure you rub some oil round the oil filter seal as it helps it to seal better if you don't you will struggle to remove it when you next come to change

+1 on this, the pressure will do the rest.
Make sure you remove the old rubber seal...

Screw it on until seal just touches then another 1/3 of a turn.
