Hi I have a (( DISCO"2 TDI) I'm new to the site and been having trouble with oil cooler temp light staying on anyway after looking on here for advice I think the sensor is faulty and needs changing. I'm waiting for one to be delivered to fit back on. I've got old one off! eventually!! However the green lights on dash M and S also flashed on and off. The manual says its a fault in the electrics on gearbox ??? If I switched off ignition and locked and unlocked disco everything was fine. Do you think two faults could be connected? Any advice welcome thanks

M&S flashing is not normally associated with the overtemp light, more likely water in the selector switch or battery not good.

My son's light came on as we left for Holland & France and was still on 2000 miles later when we got back.

It is a known weak point.

Give your car battery a good charge overnight and see what happens then. The electronics on these cars need really good battery power.

What have you got to lose by trying ?
