oil and clutch fluid usage

Im a bit new to this landrover game and i have recently got my hands on a 1974 series 3 2286cc petrol. The problem is that she leaks. i have only had her a week and done less then 200 miles and i have already used a gallon of oil and 300ml of clutch fluid. the majority of it does seem to be on my drive. is this normal or can anybody shed some light on what i might do to reduce this leaking.

i have tried to look where it is comming from and i think that the gear box plug is leaking and also anothe plug that i sa little further behind towards the drivers side aswell(not sure what its called yet)

Gladyou bought a Landy. Sorry you paid over £500 for a 'leaker'. Clutch system should notleak. (full stop). where doesitleak? lots of help available to stop it. Engineshould notleak.Again,lots of help availableto stopthat too. Park vehicle. Check source of leaks. Ask how to sort. Are you able to work a spanner (sorry cat demanddingattentionhere) or ddoyouneed a 'nursemaid' foryour garagevisits?

Sorry that might have sounded patronising. They should not leak. I always return to the quote that "you buy a Landrover and then fix it so it doesn't break down".
