Don't say that.. I've told Mrs Bagshot that they're not as bad as that .. gulp..
They're not that bad on long runs. I get around 21-22mpg on my drive across Germany with CC on 80mph. Around the Czech roads (Very hilly and lots of slow bits through villages) i get around 16-17mpg.
LPG is the way to go!!!!

Eventually it will just be a weekend and backup car, don't think I could justify 40 mike's a day to work. Can't even do that with Betsy at nearly 35mpg.

Good opportunity to compare the two. Pics pics pics ...

Are the wipers straight? o_O:D
Just cruel...!

Right, the beast has arrived..

Seems there is more to this one than I originally thought. First the good bits:
96,000 recorded miles
New suspension airbags and receipts
New Aircon condenser.
Gas conversion less than 10k miles, with certs and receipts.
Lightstone/ blue interior. Not bad nick.
Good wheels with no damage
No battery at all, so hope the computer hasn't completely given up the ghost.
and wait for it... Get this.. screens in the backs of the headrests..with headphones!!. What's that all about...!!!!?
Now the not so good. So let's just call them 'projects items'..
Car been stood for 6, yes SIX years.! Not 1 as first thought
Lots of surface rust underneath, can't see any rot, just dusty.
Tyres cracked and shot.
All belts and fluids will have to be changed, but there is antifreeze in it and still in the header tank, so hopefully the waterways aren't rusted up.
Worryingly, found a garage receipt, (amongst many), at 80k it's had new head gaskets, stem oils seals and valves lapped. Hope this was just a cure for smoking or similar and not a symptom of something worse being just tampered with.
So starting tomorrow, it's into the garage and start digging in. Please everyone, stay by ya keyboards coz for me this,(petrol/ V8/ gas conversion etc) is a whole new adventure.
Exciting...!!!!!!
(And more cupholders than I've ever seen.)
